Ember ("the app", "we") is designed to help people with ADHD brains start tasks
they're avoiding. We built it to collect as little as possible.
Parking Lot notes โ stays on your device (in the app's local database).
step) you ask the AI to break down**. That text is sent over HTTPS to our
breakdown service so the AI can return micro-steps. See below.
When you tap "Shrink it" (or "Shrink it again"), the app sends:
en, ro)to our Supabase Edge Function, which forwards it to OpenRouter, which routes it
to the DeepSeek model that generates the step list. We do this only to produce
your steps. We do not:
OpenRouter and the model provider process the request under their own terms. If
you never use the AI feature (the app works fully offline with built-in
templates), nothing leaves your device.
If you use voice dictation, audio is transcribed to text using Apple's on-device
/ Apple-provided speech recognition. The resulting text fills the input box just
as if you'd typed it. We don't store or transmit the audio.
Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed through
RevenueCat, which tells the app whether your "premium" entitlement is active.
Purchase and billing data is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; we
never see your payment details.
If you enable it, the app schedules at most one gentle, encouraging local
notification per day. These are scheduled on your device; no push server is used.
Because your data lives on your device, deleting the app deletes your data.
There is no server-side copy to request or erase.
Ember is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data
from them.
Ember is designed for ADHD brains but is not a medical device and does not
diagnose, treat, cure, or manage ADHD or any other condition.
